Our Effective Web Design Process
The purpose of producing a Website is to utilize the power of the Internet to bring significantly more visitors to the client's site than would otherwise be expected through traditional marketing methods. Fitch Advertising & Web Design ensures an effective website each time by following a four phase-process. Learn more about our web design process below.
Fitch Advertising & Web Design involves four distinct phases:
Research & Assessment - Fitch Advertising & Web Design utilizes leading edge tools and proven methodologies to assess a client's strengths, weaknesses, and its current position within the market. The Assessment phase includes analysis of your current marketing strategy, print collateral, and current internet presence needs.
Development/Hosting Set-up- When the Assessment phase is complete, Fitch Advertising & Web Design begins development for the various elements executed during Implementation. During this phase we are in constant communication with you - our client. It is important to us that you understand and are comfortable with developments. We seek your involvement as much as possible so that the completed product exactly suits your business requirements.
The Development phase includes - Using some of the existing content and graphics as a base, we will design the site to meet the objectives outlined in the Web Design Worksheet pages that will be filled out at the time of our initial meeting. New content, graphics, layout, links, etc. will be added to provide an easily-navigated, user-friendly site. This new site will not only be a source of informative content, but will also market your business in a more efficient manner. All hyperlinks directing the user away from your site will be coded to target a new window, thereby leaving your site visible to the user and thus encouraging them to return once they obtain the additional information they are seeking.
Site layout will begin with your main page first, which could include a Flash intro page (an additional fee). We will produce a draft based upon the content, and ideas provided to us from our meeting. We can provide you with a link from our site for your viewing of the site in progress. We will continue to proceed with the site once the first draft is approved from you. We will continue to build the site accordingly while updating you frequently for your approval. Once the final draft is approved the site will be tested under our server. We encourage clients to purchase one of our hosting plans starting at $9.95 a month (if needed) before completion of their website. Preferably at the time of signing the agreement. This will allow us to actually upload files in the proofing process so that you may view your pages on your server (if desired).
Testing Phase
The site is will be tested our server before being uploaded to your server. You will then have the final chance to review it for any minor changes or corrections, and we will test the site on different browsers, different platforms, and different resolution sizes, to ensure quality control.
Launch
Final completion of site is approved and payment balance is due. Site will be uploaded to your "live" server. We will continue to work with you to ensure your site is relevant and effective.
Fitch Advertising & Web Design will properly implement all the above development requirements and verify that all links, pages, browser compatibility and contact information is properly working before site will be uploaded to the server.
